The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is an exciting addition to the brand's twin-cylinder lineup, aimed at offering a more powerful and premium version of the popular Classic 350. It features a robust 648cc parallel-twin engine that produces 46.4 horsepower at 7250 rpm, which can be ridden on an A2 licence in many markets. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and is housed in a tubular steel frame, similar to other Royal Enfield models like the Super Meteor and Shotgun

In terms of design, the Classic 650 retains the iconic vintage aesthetic of its 350 counterpart, with spoked wheels, chromed headlight surrounds, and classic mudguards. The bike is equipped with a 43mm telescopic front fork and preload-adjustable twin rear shocks. It also features a single disc brake at both ends with ABS for improved safety

The bike's weight is 243 kg, which gives it a solid, stable feel on the road, although some riders find it a bit heavy for city traffic

The Classic 650 also introduces some modern touches like an LED headlight with pilot lights, which is a nod to the brand's long history, and it comes in attractive color options such as Teal, Vallam Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue, and Black Chrome

It's priced close to the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, which starts at around ?3.59 lakh (ex-showroom)

For those looking for a powerful yet classic bike that combines modern technology with retro charm, the Classic 650 is an appealing option. It promises a comfortable and stable ride, especially suited for long, relaxed cruises rather than aggressive cornering or high-speed performance.
