TVS Motor Company is gearing up to introduce its first adventure-touring motorcycle in the Apache lineup – the TVS Apache RTX 300. This new model is designed especially for riders who enjoy long-distance highway touring along with a dash of light off-roading.

Engine and Performance

The Apache RTX 300 will be built on TVS’s newly developed RT-XD4 engine platform. It will feature a 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing around 35 PS of power and 28.5 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox and is expected to come with a slip-assist clutch for smoother performance.

Design and Suspension

The motorcycle will use a steel trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe, providing both strength and flexibility. Suspension duties will be handled by USD (upside-down) front forks and a rear monoshock. The road-biased version is expected to come with alloy wheels (19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear). TVS may also offer an off-road-focused variant with spoke wheels later.

Features

The Apache RTX 300 is expected to pack several modern features, including:

  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Multiple riding modes and traction control
  • TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth and navigation support
  • Full LED lighting setup
  • Switchable ABS for better off-road adaptability

Launch and Price

The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to launch in India by the second half of 2025 (likely around August–September). The ex-showroom price is expected to be around Rs.2.50 lakh.

Key Highlights

  • Powerful engine with smooth performance
  • Advanced features and rider aids
  • Comfortable for both city commutes and highway touring
  • A fresh option in the Indian adventure-tourer category

Overall, the TVS Apache RTX 300 is set to make the mid-capacity adventure segment more competitive in India, going up directly against rivals like the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and Suzuki V-Strom SX.
