BYD has made a powerful statement in the Indian automotive market with the launch of its new all-electric SUV, the Sealion 7. The BYD Sealion 7 was officially launched in India on February 17, 2025. It is available in two variants:

Deliveries for the new vehicle began in March 2025, and the company has already received over 1,000 bookings, indicating strong initial demand. Built on BYD's advanced e-Platform 3.0, the Sealion 7 is a stylish SUV coupe that follows the brand's "Ocean X" design language. It features a sleek, coupe-like silhouette, a muscular front end with a gloss-black nose, and a sporty rear spoiler. The car measures 4,830 mm in length, providing it with a commanding road presence and ample interior space.
Powering the Sealion 7 is BYD's celebrated Blade Battery technology. The car is offered with an 82.56 kWh battery pack in both variants:
* Premium: A single-motor, rear-wheel-drive setup that produces 308 bhp and a claimed NEDC range of 567 km.
* Performance: A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration that delivers a combined output of 523 bhp and allows for a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds. This variant has a claimed NEDC range of 542 km.

The cabin of the Sealion 7 is a showcase of modern technology and luxury. The centerpiece is a 15.6-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen that serves as the command center for the infotainment system.
